I love doing styled shoots and luckily so does my sister in law, Lucinda May Photography.
Our inspirations for this shoot was the forest, a rustic setting and bright blooms on a cold winter day. I used a mix of funky blooms such as kale, peonies, hydrangea, carnations, erica, stocks, roses, sweet peas, asters and a mix of foliage. The bouquet was tied with lace which worked really well with the vintage dress and lace headpiece.
The rustic setting looked great against the forest backdrop. I teamed a group of wooden boxes with an old ladder and a scatter jars of blooms and candles. Sweet Beas made an amazing naked cake which sat on a wooden trunk round. Sail and Swans stationery was held up with wooden card holders and wooden easels. With the soft glow of the lit t-lights it made the winter scene a little warmer.
We were lucky to have one of Lucinda’s future bride and grooms as our models. They are naturals in front of the camera which makes photoshoots all so much easier!
